Scandium Canada in Asia - A Promising Tour of Asia

November 20, 2024

This past October, CEO Guy Bourassa undertook a major mission in Asia (Hong Kong and Singapore), which ended in a participation at the IMARC2024 International Mining and Resources Conference in Sydney, Australia. While in Asia, Mr. Bourassa spent a few days in South Korea to meet with players interested in the Al-Sc alloys markets.

Mr. Bourassa took part in numerous interviews, including one with Shae Russell of Mining.com.au: Scandium Canada talks Crater Lake Down Under, in addition to presenting the Crater Lake project at the convention and meeting numerous stakeholders at the Company’s booth over 3 days. In addition to attending the IMARC2024 convention, Mr. Bourassa took the opportunity to meet with a number of brokerage firms and brokers specializing in junior companies, to explore financing opportunities from Australia. The purpose of the mission was to meet with a number of investors and potential scandium users interested in developing the Crater Lake project.

This tour, eagerly awaited by management, not only enabled meetings to confirm the interest of investors and brokerage firms, but also to exchange and consolidate highly relevant and important information on market
opportunities for scandium.

Guy Bourassa commented: “We are very satisfied with the meetings we had during this tour. Not only did we
talk about interests in participating in Scandium Canada’s business growth, but also about business opportunities in the Al-Sc alloys markets. These initial contacts will require a lot of follow-up, but we’re convinced of the interest generated by our projects, both in terms of the mining project and our advances in alloys for 3D printing and extrusion.”

Quebec in the spotlight
A large Quebec delegation attended the IMARC2024 convention in Australia. The Quebec government, along with numerous suppliers of goods and services, showcased the province’s mineral expertise, the advantages of doing business in Quebec, and the richness of its subsoil. Scandium Canada’s Crater Lake project in Quebec is one of the world’s largest primary scandium projects currently under development. The project is located 200 km northeast of Shefferville.
